CIF Finals Result

Last night i ran the 3200 for CIF Finals and owned it. I got a 9:04 and i was 3rd place overall and 2nd place in D1. Next week is masters at the same track... it is gunna b fun

CIF Southern Section Prelims

I ran Yesterday at CIF Prelims and I took first in my heat and 3rd overall out of 2 heats with a 9:17... good race to qualify and felt good about it...

League Finals

I got first with a 9:16 SR in the 3200 and here are pics. CIF prelims are next saturday at trabuco hills high school.

Cool Tour

Some of my friends and i are totally thinking of going to the cool tour featuring some of our favorite bands which would be totally awesome. It is a Hard rock concert but all of the bands in it are christian so it will be awesome!!!!

Finishing and Slowing Down in Training

This is the first week that i am doing less training to prepare for the end of the season. It feels goot to know all the hard work is going to pay off towards the final races of the track season. it will be fun to finish the season well and show people what i can do because i havn't been racing as much. fun stuff

Music

I have had a recent switch in preferences in music....... with the full support of my mom and my sister i have drifted toward more of a hard rock and metal type. Still love the oldies which are near and dear to my heart. Rock On!

A Month In My Shoes

This has been a hektik month or longer in my track season. I get injured for helping my mom do chores (which is stupid). then trying to recover was horible because we couldn't seem to get it right. thinking i was cured after a week it tightened up again and it didn't let go for another two weeks. I finally got it loosened, and after it is over, i still feel numbness in my right foot. To add to it, just after three weeks or a month, i got pains in my foot that was killing me and i really believed it was stress fracture and my season was over. fortunately it was a problem with my shoes and my arch was too low. I fixed that and have now been training straight through to May where the track CIF or playoffs begin. Trining in races and skipping many races has been hard but luckily i have a coach that really cares and lets me know about the big picture of the season. I am very blessed

A LOT of Running

I have been running all through high school and now is the first time I have really felt like.... "man im runnin a ton!!" Every mornin before school at 6 we run 4 miles and everyday after school we do a workout too. And on saturdays we do an hour and thirty long run. Gets me tired. Oh and im also hittin up the gym now every monday, tuesday, thursday, and friday. fun

Todays Epic Run

Well it started as me not waking up in time for practice (fail). Then i did a 2 mile warm up down my street. After I had 10 sprints that got longer as i went. I did them on the side of the street so i was standing there looking suspicious because i had to wait 3 minutes between each one. People were staring haha... pretty funny tho...

Visiting the Jensen's NEW Family

Yesterday me and my family went to visit the Jensen's. It just so happened that (we knew) they had just had a baby girl named Emma born on 1-2-10. Sweet, what better way to celebrate the new year...

Nike Cross Nationals

Just writing this as one of my first blogs so that anyone that reads it will see this one. On December 5th I ran up in Portland with 5 other individual runners from california. I was third place in the D1 state finals and was able to qualify as the fifth man overall. Nike paid for everything as i ran as the Riverside Track Club. We arrived at the airport and were taken by charter busses to our hotel. After we were taken to the Nike Headquarters and we got fitted with shoes and spikes. Then the next day we went to the course and ran it as it was about 40 degrees warm. We later went to Nike again as we were able to do different thing to entertain ourselves. The next day which was the race, it was 30 degrees out and everyone was bundled up. The start was awesome as 200 runners went out and fireworks exploded above. The pack never spread out as I started the race in about 60th and finished in 25th as California schocked many people as we finally ran well on that course. The individuals as a team won the duel with the south individuals as we won by only a couple points. Fun race:)
